Open House at Saxtons River Montessori School Scheduled

The Saxton’s River Montessori School will hold its first ever week long Open House Feb 6-10 for families interested in applying for the 2012/13 school year. Open House visits may be scheduled by calling the school for an observation appointment.
SRMS was established in 1991 with the goal of providing a quality preschool and kindergarten education for children ages 3 to 6 using the Montessori Method.  The experienced teachers at the school believe that young children learn best by following their own innate curiosity and by performing a task themselves. Our classroom offers hands-on projects, which encourage independence, creativity, and exploration.
The Saxton’s River Montessori School is non-profit parent co-operative partnering with several area school districts to provide quality publicly funded pre-kindergarten education.  If you are interested in learning more about SRMS, visit the school online at www.SaxtonsRiverMontessoriSchool.com
To schedule an observation please call Nan Mann, Head of School, at (802) 869-3349 or email at srms@vermontel.net

VCPC Appreciation Award

Yesterday I received these from the Vermont Community Preschool Collaborative:

The card stated:
Vermont Community Preschool Collaborative Appreciation Award of flowers for Windsor SW Early Childhood Program's Effort to have the most community partnerships!
Thank you for all you do!

How wonderful is that?
A few years ago, the Preschool Collaborative received a $30,000 grant (plus additional funding for a second year) from VCPC in order to strengthen our community partnerships. As many of you know, last year we added a number of community partnerships in order to fulfill the Supervisory Union's commitment to Universal Access to Preschool.

This award is not just for me, but for all of YOU. Parents, community members, preschool partners, administrators, and board members all play a part in supporting high quality early education opportunities for all children in the WSWSU.

Thank you for your support!
